Steam Packet Company issues reassurance to passengers following Southern 100 cancellation

9/3/2021

Following the announcement that the 2021 Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 International Road Races has been cancelled, the Steam Packet Company has confirmed that affected passengers will be offered the opportunity to transfer their booking or receive a full refund.

From Wednesday 10th March, customers affected by the cancellation of the road race event will be able to transfer their reservations to equivalent sailings in 2022 or cancel and receive a full refund. Affected customers are asked to contact the Steam Packet Company Reservations Team from Wednesday to amend or cancel their bookings.

Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘As title sponsor of the Southern 100 International Road Races it is, of course, disappointing to see the event cancelled, however we appreciate the decision given the difficult circumstances.

‘A high volume of enquiries is anticipated, so we ask customers to please be patient while our Reservations Team deals with the large number of requests.’

Booked passengers will be able to transfer to 2022 at the same rates as 2021. Amendment fees have also been waived to allow passengers to book alternative services.

The Reservations Team can be contacted by email at [email protected] or by calling 08722 992 992 (UK) or 0044 8722 992 992 (ROI & Outside UK). Telephone opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 18:00 and Saturday and Sunday 09:00 – 18:00.
